Pajuçara é uma das praias mais conhecida de Maceió. Muito visitada por diversos tipos de turistas. A Praia oferece diversas barracas e chuveiros. Possui a maior atração de passeio de jangada, que levarão você às famosas piscinas naturais que se forma na maré baixa entre arrecifes e bancos de areia, as piscinas ficam a 2 km da costa, seu trajeto dura cerca de 20 minutos. É recomendável ao turista verificar a tábua das marés, pois o acesso às piscinas deve ser feito preferencialmente na maré-baixa.

Pajuçara possui galerias de artesanato no calçadão, há feira conta com inúmeras barracas, que vendem artesanato de renda, barro e couro. Nos domingos, a avenida da praia fica fechada para caminhar, pedalar e promover muitas brincadeiras para as crianças. Apresenta vários restaurantes, casas de drinques e boates em sua orla.

Mais de 200 jangadas estão à disposição dos turistas para os passeios até as piscinas naturais e nos finais de semana se transformam em bares flutuantes. Entre suas atrações, além dos peixes coloridos, é palco de apresentações de bandas de forró em meio aos corais.

A praia de Pajuçara também conta com jangadas adaptadas para levar cadeirantes às piscinas naturais, um dos cartões-postais mais tradicionais da cidade. Mais larga que as convencionais, proporcionando melhor estabilidade e segurança, a jangada acessível tem 6,45 metros de comprimento e 1,98 metro de largura, e pode comportar até seis pessoas, sendo dois deficientes físicos com a cadeira de rodas e acompanhantes.
