A menos de 30 minutos de Maceió, o município de Barra de São Miguel é o local perfeito para desfrutar praias de águas calmas e bem clarinhas.

A Barra é conhecida pelos turistas somente como ponto de embarque para a Praia do Gunga. O que eles não sabem é que a pequenina cidade abriga um dos balneários preferidos dos alagoanos.

São mais de 10 km de praias para explorar em Barra de São Miguel. Além do mar de tons esverdeados o município também conta a linda Lagoa do Roteiro que possui um ecossistema riquíssimo e um dos cenários mais bonitos do litoral sul alagoano.

Barreira de Corais da Barra de São Miguel

Eu adoro ir pra Barra, sobretudo por conta da proximidade da capital. Sem falar que, por conta da barreira de corais, quase que temos uma piscina natural gigante, praticamente todo o tempo. Para se ter ideia, uma das maiores formações de barreiras de corais encontra-se mesmo na Praia da Barra de São Miguel.

Durante o dia, o turista pode aproveitar o mar, admirar as paisagens, curtir beachs clubs, fazer diversos passeios e se deliciar com a culinária local, na qual os frutos do mar são a maior atração. À noite, o visitante pode aproveitar para conhecer os restaurantes locais.
A cidade conta com 8 Praias  (Praia Barra de São Miguel, Praia das Conchas, Praia Niquim, Praia Bonita, Praia da Lagoa Azeda, Praia da Atalaia, Praia do Meio e Praia Porto de Vaca), rios e lagoas.
Recomendo as praias do Niquim, Praia das Conchas, Barra Mar e Cais de São Pedro. As praias não têm ondas muito fortes, assim é possível andar de caiaque ou stand up paddle sem dificuldades.

Um dos passeios mais concorridos é o de barco, que leva à praia do Gunga e à lagoa do Roteiro, passando por ilhotas, manguezais e barreiras de recifes. Para saber mais sobre a Praia do Gunga clique aqui. (Gunga pertence a Roteiro e não a Barra de São Miguel)

Atualmente Barra de São Miguel é um dos melhores locais para mergulho do estado e ainda possui um dos carnavais mais animado da região.

Barra de São Miguel é dívida em três partes: o bairro de Barra Mar, a orla localizada no bairro do Niquim e o centro da cidade. Barra Mar é a parte nobre da cidade, onde encontram-se centenas de casas de praias e algumas pousadas. A praia que recebe o mesmo nome do bairro possui ondas fortes, perfeita para surfistas e atividades à vela.

Já na Praia do Niquim é onde concentram-se algumas das melhores opções de hospedagem e restaurantes do município. O local também é muito procurado por ser o ponto de acesso ao formidável Aquário Natural, uma piscina natural localizada em meio a barreira de corais que abriga inúmeras espécies que vivem na região, como peixinhos coloridos, ouriços e estrelas do mar.

As ruas do centro da cidade também podem render muitas fotos boas. Em uma pequena caminhada nas ruas estreitas do município que antigamente era uma vila de pescador, podem ser encontrada casas erguidas em 1880 e igrejas com grande valor histórico.

A cidade recebe o turista de braços abertos e com boas hospedagens, restaurantes, e outros entretenimentos. Ideal para lazer e descanso.

Como chegar

Se você estiver dirigindo, basta pegar a AL 101 Sul. A partir do centro de Maceió não leva mais que vinte e cinco minutos, em via duplicada. Vale a pena alugar um carro mas, caso essa não seja sua proposta, há muitos receptivos que fazem o trajeto ida e volta por R$ 35,00 em média.
