Nossas praias também se destacam quando se pensa em turismo aliado à acessibilidade. Uma das principais atrações da nossa orla é o famoso passeio para as piscinas naturais da Praia de Pajuçara, que é feito em jangadas próprias para transportar cadeirantes. São três embarcações com capacidade para até seis pessoas, sendo duas delas cadeirantes. Elas são mais largas do que as normais e oferecem ainda uma esteira que leva os passageiros em segurança até a areia da praia.

Existe também o projeto ‘Praia Acessível’, que promove atividades adaptadas na orla de Pajuçara. A iniciativa existe desde 2015, e inclui banho de mar assistido com cadeiras anfíbias, bocha adaptada e stand up padle para cadeirantes. Todo o contorno da orla de Maceió apresenta, ainda, piso adaptado para deficientes visuais.

A cidade apresenta também museus, restaurantes, bares e shoppings aptos com necessidades especiais.
