Guaxuma fica a 12 km do centro de Maceió (Litoral Norte). É uma praia repleta de coqueiros, com boa estrutura de barracas e de grande beleza natural.

Tem de um lado o mar forte e do outro um mar calmo, protegido por recifes de coral. Seu público é variado, desde famílias a jovens, que se reúnem nos charmosos quiosques.

A Parte protegida por recifes de corais, formar belas piscinas naturais durante a maré baixa, repletas de peixes coloridos, com águas cristalinas e quentinhas, ótimas para banho.

É uma boa opção para relaxar, sem tumulto, pode aproveitar a vontade, em dias de semana é quase que deserta. A praia abriga sedimentos de dois rios que a margeiam.

A melhor referência para chegar a esse local é entrar na primeira rua após o SESC em Guaxuma. Os quiosques costumam fechar as 18 horas e a praia fica totalmente vazia e escura.
