A famosa Praia do Francês, no município de Marechal Deodoro, distante apenas 20 km de Maceió, ela é dividida em duas partes: movimentada do lado esquerdo, protegida por arrecifes, mar calmo, barracas/restaurantes, muitos turistas, vendedores, som alto, etc. E Já no lado direito, após os arrecifes, a praia torna-se tranquila, ótima para caminhar, relaxar, repleta de coqueiros, um mar ideal para os surfistas e é aqui o ponto ideal para acampar! O clima é agradável o ano inteiro! As Praias de Japaratinga reservam ao visitante águas limpas e bem preservadas. Praticamente virgens, repleta de falésias e densos coqueirais, que compõe um cenário que se estende em um litoral de 15 quilômetros. O município possui também pousadas com área de camping, caso necessite de uma estrutura básica, inclusive, a 60 metros acima do nível do mar, proporcionando um visual incrível.
