Dividida em duas partes, Cruz das Almas conta com um lado mais deserto e outra urbanizado, com barracas de serviços, restaurantes e opções de hospedagem. Seu nome é devido a seu passado, onde era um cemitério indígena. Hoje em dia é conhecida como Praia Lagoa da Anta.
